Avenue Diner in Wyoming

I stopped here for a quick breakfast. I enjoyed a nice omelette of a new variety here and was impressed with the service. Our server took our order timely, food served quickly and cooked like we wanted. That may sound like it should be, but I've been to many places this small & busy and have been disappointed. Not here. I heard that this place was closed then reopened some time ago. I would return here.

My husband and I ordered the Veal Marsala tonight for dinner. It was delicious, full of veal and mushrooms. The sauce was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Avenue Diner has always been good and always seems get a little better. A recent special I had was Pasta alfredo with spinach & bacon. The texture & spice were spot on served hot but not burning. Ample 2 side options to choose from had salad, soup, vegetable etc. Entrees include complimentary wine & shrimp. Including beverage my bill was about $17 which seems decent to me. Service is always good.!

I eat here a ton because we live next door. Breakfast you want quick and tasty grab a bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin. If I have the time the omelette and Italian toast with a side of hash browns. Lunch and dinner I get diner food like a patty melt or a Ruben but the dinners are just as good

The food was DELICIOUS however, the service was HORRENDOUS!! Our waitress never came back to check on us after she served us our dinner, we had to ask other servers to help us. I am giving the one-star based on the service alone not on the food! She never pre-bussed our table, thank God we didn't want dessert because we had no room on our table!

Pancakes are huge. Service was a tad slow. Food was ok. I got a cheeseburger and I really like the brioche bun it was served on but it was otherwise an ok burger.

One of my favorite places in NEPA. I haven't had anything I didn't like! I love their french onion soup and burgers!

I like it here. Food is good, but don't expect 5 star quality. Always leave satisfied with my meal. Price is acceptable. If you're looking for decent diner food in the area you can do worse than here.Negatives: Place gets hot in the summer and you often have flies buzzing around. That was the first thing I noticed my first time here. Got pie for dessert once and it tasted like something from wal mart. Wait staff sometimes takes a while to take your order

Stopped by on a Sunday evening while visiting family in northeast PA and was pleasantly surprised at how cute this diner is. The colors are soothing and the light fixtures in the front part where we say were nicer than you'd expect. The menu was quite extensive. I had the meat ravioli and really liked the filling. I could tell from it that their meatballs are probably really good. The sauce was just ok for me, but personal tastes on sauce varies a lot. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce but the balsamic vinaigrette was good. I didn't try the soup but another person in my party said it was good. The server was friendly and attentive. Happy with the experience and price overall.

Sorry but no pictures. Always great tasting food with enormous portions. They currently have a tent in the parking lot for outdoor seating but you have the choice of eating indoors too. Our table had crab cakes, grilled chicken, fried chicken and a seafood platter. The crab cakes were delicious and I believe better than some of our higher end restaurants. Great comfort food at any time of day.

It was fair. Ordered their prime rib medium. Came out well. Hubby got Turkey which he said was good. Ate outside was nice. Waitresses checked on us a few times. Set our check down and was never asked if we wanted dessert.

45 minute travel to have eggs benedict! It was wonderful! Served with fried potatoes. Yes, there is outside dining also. Great service and servers!

Amazing restaurant! The food is cooked perfectly, the restrooms are clean , and staff is kind and prepared. I recommend getting the giant pretzel it has a assortment of sauces that you can choose from that make the pretzel taste really good.

Extremely wonderful breakfast experience! The food at this restaurant is very good. I highly recommend the lobster benedict omelette featuring chunks of lobster, peppers, onions and topped with hollandaise sauce. Also, get the Italian bread toast. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant also features a stool with a history of famous customers - Diane Sawyer and President Obama! Definitely stop by if you are in this area and hungry!

Went for lunch today and was definitely less than impressed. My food was okay and my husbands food was very good! My son however hated his food and didn’t eat it. Silverware was dirty and stuff floating in my sons drink. The service wasn’t the greatest which I somewhat understand with the staff having to run in and out. What really put the nail in the coffin was when our waitress dropped our check off and literally NEVER came back out to take payment or check on us. After waiting at least ten minutes I had the hostess see if she could get her and even after that another waitress came out to finally help us.

Been to this place two times already, my partner has been frequently and has always talked highly. Always served with a smile and given what we asked for with quality. This past visit they has a pianist playing nice gentle music which was quite relaxing. Very family friendly place. My only thing is they serve generic cola and it's not bad but we all know name brand is the best. Lol still 5 stars though cause they have plenty of other very good beverages to chose from. This last visit we got a lemonade tea mix which was unique and enjoyable! Bravo

Great food big portions! Well worth the price! Definitely recommend eating there! I'll be visiting there again for sure. Staff was well mannered polite and on top of dirty dishes ect.

A good food place 😋

Food was good service was awful. It took forever, and while we were waiting there was a girl with long frizzy hair past her waist she was flipping it around it brushed across this womans chest and probably the table with their food on it. This girl was back by the kitchen, serving drinks, behind the counter. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. If this is what they do for sanitation I am pretty sure they dont care about much else. When we left this girl and an older woman were talking by the register and neither of them acknowledged us, no thank you, nothing.

Gave my fiance horrible food poisoning... wont be back. What I shape I've always loved their food but the chicken made us sick I only got lucky enough to not finish mine before I realized that my fiance was getting sick and stopped

Food was very good, but they were out of the fried shrimp that my wife wanted. French fries were a little cold, but our waitress was very attentive and efficient.

We were just passing through their town and stopped for lunch. My husband and I each had a salad. They were really good. The portions were great. The staff was very nice!

Awesome food and they have Love músic too, i went on a wednesday and they had jazz music.We had the Lobster special and it was so perfect and it was not a small plate,it comes with everything you see in the pic plus you get a glass of wine as well which was very Good too.I also had a bowl of french onion that was awesome too.President Obama and many other celebrities have visited this place.Sunday is pasta day.by the way one of my friends had the turkey as i tried it and was very Good.If you visit try getting a reservation If you don't like waiting, it gets really packed.

Very nice service and atmosphere. Had a lovely lady playing the harp during dinner. Service and food was great. Lobsters were delish. As was the haddock. Highly recommend.

Was there 8/13/19 for a bridal brunch and the staff, food and atmosphere was great. Would hold another gathering in the private room again. Only thing is they need to have a door or chain across to prevent patrons from diner from coming to the private room n looking around and using the 1 bathroom that's for the private room while it is in use for a private party.
